FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. — A Franklin Springs man has been arrested following a child exploitation investigation involving the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, investigators executed a search warrant Thursday, May 7, at a residence located at 224 College Heights in Franklin Springs. Authorities said the warrant stemmed from a tip received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Following what officials described as a weeks-long investigation conducted by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, investigators arrested Tidus Parker.
Parker has been charged with six counts related to the distribution of child pornography, authorities said.
The investigation remains ongoing, and officials said additional charges are expected.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office credited the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Criminal Investigation and Digital Forensics units, as well as the Franklin Springs Police Department, for assisting in the case.
Sheriff’s officials said the agencies worked together to help protect children in Franklin County.
